CALVEZ, Ingrid Ph.D.

Research Professional, ULaval
Research Professional in the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences, Université Laval
Ingrid Calvez holds a Ph.D. in Wood Engineering and Bio-based Materials from Université Laval. Her doctoral project was part of the NSERC-Canlak Industrial Research Chair in Interior Wood Coating and focused on strategies to modify the gloss of photopolymerizable coatings.
She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Chemistry and Formulation Engineering in France. Wanting to expand her expertise to other areas of formulation, Ingrid decided to focus on coatings. Her goal is to make wood products as enjoyable as possible while ensuring safety for users and the environment.
During her Ph.D., Ingrid Calvez was the first author of four scientific publications and presented her findings at various international conferences. After a brief experience in the water-based wood coatings industry, she joined Corepan-Bois as a research professional in bio-based adhesives and surface coatings applied to wood-based composite panels.
