He sits on several scientific advisory committees as an associate professor at Université Laval and the Université du Quebec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). He participates in the training of graduate students. His collaborations in various research teams focus on innovation in the forest industry and the wood-based composite panels sector. He is interested in market issues, value chain analysis, economic development, and regional impacts.
His current role as the Principal Officer of the Program at NRCan, as well as his previous roles as an expert advisor in industrial development at the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife, and Parks of Quebec and as Director of Economic Development at the James Bay Development Corporation (SDBJ), allow him to lead teams of employees, provide advice and guidance as a major industry expert to provincial and federal governments, design and develop various strategic documents (plans, reports, memoranda, projects, etc.) for the minister and senior management (deputy ministers, assistant deputy ministers, and directors-general), research and develop partnerships or strategic alliances with various stakeholders (federal and provincial governments, municipalities, universities, research centers, economic development organizations, businesses) to establish new business sectors.
