Xiaodong (Alice) Wang is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), a member of th Drying Committee at the Conseil de l'industrie forestière du Québec (CIFQ), and a member of the Society of Wood Science and Technology (SWST). Before joining the professor team at Université Laval in September 2017, she was an assistant professor in the Division of Wood Technology and Engineering at Lulea University of Technology (Sweden) and a postdoctoral fellow at the Wood and Fibre Centre, Canadian Forest Service, Quebec City (Canada) under a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada NSERC postdoctoral fellowship.

Her research interests focus on bio-based building materials, eco-construction, building envelopes, building physics, energy efficiency and infrastructure resilience to climate change, structural design and related topics. Within Corepan-bois, she will contribute to the research project on the hygrothermal and energy performance of multifunctional structural composite panels.
