Rémi Georges is an assistant professor in the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences at Université Laval. He is a mechanical engineer and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Before joining Université Laval in January 2023, he was a senior researcher in wood primary processing at FPInnovations. His research interests are focused on improving the primary processing of wood, including sawing processes, wood machining, cutting tools, wood chipping, and wood fragmentation for its use as a value-added raw material in various applications.
