Senior Director - Innovative Biosourced Materials at FPInnovations
Christelle Debrauwer is the manager of the New Construction Materials Department at FPInnovations. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Physico-Chemistry of Polymers. In 2004, she joined the research and development (R&D) team at the BIC Group, first as a materials researcher and later as the head of research teams in 2006. In 2013, she took on the Director of Research and Innovation role. Her managerial and directorial activities at the BIC Group focused on developing materials, precisely chemical compounds, formulation, plastics and polymers, sintered graphite, and fibrous materials.
Christelle joined FPInnovations in 2019 as the Senior Director of Innovative Biosourced Materials (IBM). She oversees R&D projects related to developing wood-based composite panels (MDF, OSB, particleboard) and non-woven materials (thermal and acoustic insulation) for the construction industry. The work also encompasses the development of new materials and products, performance enhancement, and process optimization.
